Jaguar will unveil the all-new XE sedan tonight in London and the launch promises to be spectacular judging from the stunts the automaker is preparing.
While Jaguar has managed to keep the XE secret so far, with only planned teasers reaching the web, a Londoner has spotted the XE while being airlifted by a helicopter over London, presumably to the location where it will be unveiled.
Much to the photographer’s surprise, the car had no camouflage gear, so he took a few shots. Although blurry, they reveal the overall shape of the car which appears to be similar to the larger XF, as well as the rear end which gets long, slim taillights. Besides these photos, there’s another one on a forum showing the XE in a studio.
Meanwhile, Jaguar has revealed a unique aluminum word cloud sculpture in the shape of the new Jaguar XE sports saloon at the London Design Museum. Installed in the Design Museum’s “Tank”, the design piece marks the start of the global launch of the new Jaguar XE.
The word cloud representation of the new XE consists of 95 words using seven languages including French, German, Spanish, Italian, English, Russian and Mandarin. Computer modelling was used to create the words that are molded to the shape of the Jaguar XE then finished using metal craftsmanship by the team behind elements of the London Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
