Automakers and racing game brands go hand in hand these days, so no surprise that the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT sports car will be featured in Sony’s DriveClub game for the PlayStation 4.
DriveClub will be available in Europe from October 8, 2014, and users will be able to download the new AMG GT for free in the first week of launch or about a month after the car has its physical world premiere on September 9.
It won’t be the only AMG model offered in the game, as Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance brand will also be represented by the A 45 AMG, CLA 45 AMG, C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series, SL 65 AMG and SLS AMG Coupe Black Series.
“We’re delighted that Mercedes-Benz is so strongly represented in DRIVECLUB,” said Mercedes-Benz Head of Marketing Communications, Jens Thiemer. “This proves the brand’s attraction and importance, because only the world’s most exciting and prestigious sports cars are selected by the game developers.”
The new high-end coupe from Mercedes will debut a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 delivering 510 PS (503 hp) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.
