It looks like the Audi TT Sportback Concept rendering we showed you earlier today is real, as we discovered additional pictures of Ingolstadt’s Paris Motor Show study.

The concept draws inspiration from the Teutonic design of the TT applied on a five-door liftback model with seating for four the size of the A3 sedan at 4.47 meters long.

It’s unclear at this point if the TT Sportback previews a future model and if so, whether it hints at a smaller replacement for the current A5 Sportback or a brand new entry that would sit right above the A3 Sedan.

Whatever the case, the concept is based on the VW Group’s modular MQB architecture with power coming from a transversely mounted 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged petrol engine delivering around 400hp to all four wheels. The powertrain is most likely related to the unit used on this year’s TT Sport Concept.
