The new Skoda Fabia will be, along with the soon to be launched Mazda2, the most modern and advanced supermini on the market.
It’s currently one generation ahead of the VW Polo, while the Ford Fiesta and Renault Clio are a bit older, and the Opel / Vauxhall Corsa just looks like the previous car with new lights.
WhatCar? previewed it ahead of its official debut at the Paris motor show and highlighted some of its positive traits.
What’s immediately obvious is the car’s stance which is much improved over the outgoing model – it’s wider, lower and has more clearly defined shapes. It’s also promising to be really economical and kind to the trees – the Greenline model promises to only emit 80-ish g/km CO2.
If it drives well too, and the price stays as low as the previous model’s, then it could make for a compelling buy.
