SPOFEC is Novitec’s newly created tuning division for Rolls Royce models and for its first project, it chose the British firm’s most affordable car, the Ghost saloon.
Since some of you may be wondering how the German group came up with the name, Novitec says it’s an acronym of the hood ornament, the Spirit of Ecstasy.
The body is upgraded visually with a new carbon fiber front bumper that replaces the production part in its entirety together with carbon fiber rocker panels available for regular and long-wheelbase models, a rear apron and an available boot lid spoiler with a clear-coated carbon-fiber finish.
A choice of alloy wheels in 22-inch versions wrapped in tires size 265/35 ZR 22 at the front and 295/30 ZR 22 at the back, complete the rather subtle exterior mods.
Under the hood, Spofec offers two versions of its N-TRONIC performance kits, with the first boosting the 6.6-liter V12 from 562hp (570PS) and 780Nm to 676hp (685PS) and 958Nm, and the second one to 699hp (709PS) and 978Nm for a 0-100km/h (62mph) in 4.4 seconds. Top speed remains electronically limited to 250 km/h (155mph) on either version.
Other available upgrades include a 5kg (11 lbs) lighter stainless-steel sports exhausts that can be optionally ordered with a controlled butterfly valve to adjust the exhaust note, an electronic lowering module that drops the suspension by up to 40mm at speeds below 140km/h (87mph), and lighter carbon-ceramic brakes.
