The new Ford S-Max looks so nice and sporty that you wonder why Ford would have to think twice before turning it into an ST. Nobody would have anything negative to say about the move and the resulting vehicle would be one of the first properly desirable people carriers.
X-Tomi has tried his hand at creating just such a vehicle, and while he slightly overdid it with the slammed suspension, the rest of the transition looks pretty factory. Even the red color suits it well and adds to the sporting flavor it already has.
Engines-wise, the 210 PS diesel that was announced for the new Mondeo would be perfect, though since this is quite a large vehicle, perhaps the turbo 2.3-liter could find its place under the bonnet too.
Don’t get your hopes up, though. Ford has announced no such plans for the foreseeable future.
