After refreshing the hatchback, sedan and estate versions of its Focus family, it’s time for Ford to give the C-MAX minivan its own mid-cycle facelift.
A Focus in all but the name, the C-MAX will benefit from a similar host of styling, equipment and chassis improvements as the other body styles.
On the outside, it will get a single-frame grille, sharper headlamps and a redesign bumper on the front end, and revised tail lamps and bumper at the back.
Interior upgrades are expected to mirror those of the Focus facelift with improved quality, reworked center console, and a new multifunction steering wheel,
While in the U.S., the C-MAX is available exclusively as a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid, in other markets, Ford offers the compact MPV with an array of diesel and gasoline engines. The updated model should get Ford’s new 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine with 150PS (148hp) and 180PS (178hp).
