With the all-new Skoda Fabia hatchback out of the bag, Skoda is now concentrating its development efforts on the roomier and more practical estate version, dubbed Combi.
Spied here virtually undisguised sans the body-colored plastic strips on the sides and bumpers along with the printed tail lamp wraps, the new Fabia Combi has an evolutionary design that will neither excite nor offend.
What it promises to bring to the table is tons of more space at rear end, boosting luggage capacity from the five-door model’s 330 liters to well over 500 liters with the seats up and around 1,500 liters when folded down.
It should come with the same petrol and diesel engine lineup as the hatch, including the 89hp and 103hp 1.4 TDIs and the 1.2 TSI, when it reaches European showrooms next year.
