Since VW said the Tristar pickup concept previews the sixth-generation T-Series LCV scheduled to arrive in 2015, it was only a matter of time before photoshop manipulators imagined what the T6 will look like.
Hungarian artist X-Tomi is the first to release renderings based on the Tristar study and I have to say, the images look pretty good. He envisioned three body styles of the T6: the range-topping Multivan people-carrier, the Transporter van and a five-seat version of the Transporter van.
You’ll probably notice that X-Tomi didn’t replace the off-road tyres from the Tristar concept with normal ones, but that is not a bad thing, since it allows us to see what a crossover-flavored VW T6 Multivan would look like.
We already know that the current Multivan looks good with a more rugged styling package, courtesy of VW’s Multivan Alltrack study released earlier this year. Who knows, maybe the next-generation model will offer an Alltrack variant.
So, what do you think? Minus the off-road tyres and raised ground clearance, is this what the upcoming VW T6 will look like?
