Citroen will host the world premiere of the C1 Urban Ride Concept at the 2014 Paris Motor Show on October 2.
If you’re thinking that the C1 Urban Ride looks suspiciously production-ready, you’re not alone and in fact, Citroen will conduct a poll at its motor show stand allowing visitors to cast their vote on whether they “would like to see this version on the market one day”.
The C1 Urban Ride follows the sporty flavored C1 Swiss & Me Study shown in Geneva this year and it illustrates the potential for a crossover-like edition of the C1 city car with SUV-styling elements such as protective plastic trims on the wheel arches, side skirts and bumpers, combined with a 15mm taller suspension and 10mm wider tracks.
There’s also a two tone paint job (three if you include the black plastic moldings and A-pillars) with a grey roof and fittings that contrast with the bright Cheesecake Yellow body, and gunmetal alloy wheels.
Citroen says that the Urban Ride could be offered in both regular 5-door and Airscape (supposedly a convertible, but in reality a 5d model with a large canvas sunroof that rolls back) editions if it gets the green light.
