Practically all reviews of the new Corvette Stingray eventually ended up showering it with praise. Highlights of the model were always its new, smoother styling, the infusion of tech and the exceptional usability for the performance/price proposition it offered – it’s a major leap over the C6 and a colossal one over the C5.
However, as with any overly-hyped car, even if it’s a good one, if you want to, you can start hating on it. Well, not hate, but just treat it with the excessive cynicism you treat any new smartphone that claims to do it all better, faster and more efficiently than before.
This review by Regular Car Reviews is just that, and while not all the points made in the video (posted below) would sit well with fans of the Corvette in general and C7 in particular, the arguments do hold water.
You just need to look at the new Vette from a more socio-culturally oriented standpoint, instead of the usual all-out technophile car guy style.
