We reported about Audi’s plans to reveal a telling A9 Concept at the upcoming LA Auto Show in November, and now we have what’s claimed to be an official teaser.
The image comes to us from Italy’s Auto&Design magazine, which hosts comments from Audi’s new head of design, Marc Lichte, who says the study previews the brand’s next styling lineage.
However, we’ve heard that it could also give us a sneak peek of an upcoming flagship four-door coupe.
“Audi is placing the focus even more firmly on the sporting dimension, something that will characterize the whole upcoming generation of cars”, explained Lichte, who also points out that “the new models will be immediately recognizable as Audi’s, starting with the signature single frame grille which will, however, also represent a major step forward in terms of sportiness”.
The A9 is believed to be built around the same MLB platform as the next iteration of the A8 sedan measuring over 5 meters in length.
