A 58-year-old woman from the Croatian town of Šibenik is making the viral rounds after jumping over a raised bridge that connects the island of Murter with Tisno.
“Despite the red light being on she passed the ramp as I made a gesture and shouted at her to stop,” bridge worker Tomo MejićSidić told Šibenik IN, according to Croatiaweek.
“She hit the gas and made the jump over the bridge, which was raised at least two and a half meters. I could not believe she made it. She then stopped and went for a coffee!”
After learning about the incident, local police slapped the woman with a 250 Kuna (US$41 or €33) fine. She told authorities that did not see that the bridge was up due to the sun glare.
