The Fiat 500 is a natural fit for Abarth’s lineup of souped-up models, but could the 500X become a target too for the high-performance brand?
It’s obviously too early to know that, as the Fiat 500X has just been unveiled at the Paris Auto Show. However, nothing can stop Photoshop manipulators from imagining such a model, and that’s exactly what Hungary-based artist X-Tomi did.
Using the off-road version of the 500X as a base, he applied Abarth design elements like the scorpion badge, white decals on the sides of the car and typical white multi-spoke wheels. Other changes include more aggressive bumpers with the rear one integrating an air diffuser and double exhaust tips, door handles painted in the car’s color and a much lower ride height.
The latter is obviously the modification that has the greatest impact on the overall look of the car and it’s what convinced me that a 500X Abarth would not be a such a bad idea, especially since Abarth’s lineup currently lacks a compact model. What do you think?
