MTM says it can turn your regular VW T5 Multivan Comfortline 2,0 TSI into a 355hp sports van in just 21 hours for €21,250 (equal to $26,700) – that’s only for labor and parts, not the donor car.
Dubbed the MTM 400, the package takes the standard 201hp (204PS) 2.0-liter petrol unit and gives it a new ECU, turbocharger and a complete exhaust system to boost output to 355hp (360PS) and 465Nm.
Linked to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox and VW’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system, the T5 goes from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in 6.0 seconds, to 200km/h (124mph) in 30.6 seconds and can reach a top speed in excess of 230km/h (143mph).
The van’s chassis is upgraded with a full-air suspension, a bigger 6-piston fixed caliper braking system for the front axle, and 20-inch Bimoto alloy wheel shod in Michelin SuperSports (235/35 ZR20).
