These are the first photos of the new Suzuki Vitara live from the Paris Auto Show floors. The Japanese company’s press conference won’t start for another hour, so we’re short on official details at the moment.
Here’s what we know up until now: the all-new Vitara is the production version of the iV-4 concept that was first exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013 and it will go on sale in Europe next spring.
It’s a compact crossover model that sits under the Grand Vitara targeting an array of models including the Opel Mokka and Nissan Juke.
Power will likely come from the 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines found on the S-Cross, with the Vitara offered in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, the latter featuring Suzuki’s ALLGRIP system.
More to come, so stay tuned.
