After giving Macan owners a first taste of their tuning goods in July, Porsche specialist TechArt has announced a bevy of performance and styling parts for the luxury SUV.
Available from the first quarter of 2015, TechArt’s new ECU power kit for the Macan Turbo gives the V6 engine a 50hp and 70Nm boost for a total of 444hp (450PS) and 620Nm (457 lb-ft) of peak torque.
When in Sport or Sport Plus mode, the tuned Macan Turbo accelerates to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.4 seconds (vs. standard model’s 4.6 sec), to 160km/h (100mph) in 10.6 sec (vs. 10. 9 sec), and reaches a top speed of 271km/h or 168mph, a 5km/h or 3mph increase over the stock version. In regular mode, the Macan Turbo operates with its serial engine management system.
From 2015, TechArt will offer a new stainless steel sports exhaust system that can be optionally equipped with an electronically controlled valve to adjust the sound, initially for the Macan S and Macan Turbo, and later in the year, for the Macan S Diesel too.
Elsewhere, a new Air Suspension Module Sport can lower the ride height by an additional 20mm in regular mode, 30mm in Sport Plus mode and by 60mm when the car is standing still.
Visual enhancements come in the form of an aerodynamic kit comprising front and rear aprons, side skirts, rear diffuser, roof spoiler and mirror caps in regular or carbon fiber look, and a selection of alloy wheels in 21- and 22-inch sizes with or without painted brake calipers.
There are plenty of options for the interior as well, including custom leather surfaces, a three-spoke steering wheel, aluminum pedals and foot rest, illuminated door sills, floor mats, decorative stitching, different instrument dials etc.
