Scion has just shared two cropped photos of a new concept car named iM that will have its world premiere at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show in late November.
A short statement from Scion reads: “The iM Concept car reflects the evolution of Scion as the needs and desires of its youthful customers also evolve”.
You’re more than welcome to speculate in the comments, but if you ask me, after comparing the lines of the front bumper, the shape of the front wheel arches and whatever details we can see on the front end including the headlamps, I’d say this looks like it’s Scion’s version of the European market Toyota Auris compact hatch.
Adding to this notion is that we’ve heard Scion was mulling to offer the Auris in North America. In Europe, Toyota’s hatchback competes in the heavily contested C-segment market against the VW Golf, Opel / Vauxhall Astra and Renault Megane. It’s also offered with a station wagon body style and a hybrid powertrain.
