While Volvo officials are parading the new XC90 in Paris, their technical teams are still out in the open working on the brand’s second generation mid-size SUV.
Carscoops intrepid reader Brett Borgard caught along with Volvo’s engineers in Colorado.
“There were 3 Volvos testing in Silverthorne Colorado this weekend. They were under the hood quite a lot on one of the vehicles. I believe it’s the new XC90 in heavy camouflage,” he said.
With the 2015 XC90 due to go on sale in the States within the next few months, the question that arises is what exactly is Volvo testing; are they merely tweaking one of the two confirmed U.S models, the 316hp 2.0L turbo and the 400hp 2.0L turbo Plug-in Hybrid, or something else?
