Despite speculations and  Cadillac’s renewed offensive, Ford says it has no official plans to bring the Lincoln brand to Europe.

So what should we make of this Lincoln PR stunt which consisted of taking the MKC to Germany and flaunting it to capture the locals’ reactions?

This summer Lincoln sent Le Mans 24 Hours winner turned TV host Justin Bell to drive the MKC SUV from the northern city of Hamburg to Baden-Baden in the south of the country.

Titled “The Lincoln MKC European Experience,” the three-part web series obviously portrays the crossover in a very favorable light, with the Germans featured in it being all blown away by the MKC. Besides the PR component of these videos, could Ford be seriously considering bringing the Lincoln brand to Europe?
