Some say gravity-canceling levitation tech has been perfected for more than half a century (by the Nazis back in WWII), but it’s been suppressed until today.
We don’t know about that, but it would definitely give more meaning to these slightly strange renderings of classic (sports) cars that have lost their wheels and are floating inches above the road.
The photos you see below, which are actually quite lovely to look at, are the work of French artist/photographer Renaud Marion, 39, who explains the motivation behind the work:
“As a child, I imagined the new millennium with flying cars, spaceships, parallel worlds, extra-terrestrials living with us on earth and time travel. We would have all been dressed up in space outfits and equipped with laser pistols. These are the dreams of a normal child, I think… I hope.”
The photos were taken in Geneva and Paris, and then modified. Really, they speak for themselves and all that’s left to do is pick a favorite. Personally, I think the 300SL convertible looks the best as a hover-vehicle, though the E-Type is not bad either…
