Now this is a radical makeover – this Scion xB has been seriously changed from what it was originally intended to be, with blocked out rear glass and a radical rethink of what car interiors should be like.
It really does look like you’ve stepped back in time just looking at it. The xB is already kind of funky to look at, but with the raised roof, chrome bolt-on mirrors, rim design and chosen livery/color scheme combo it’s completely transformed.
Inside, the changes are just as noticeable. Firstly, it comes with an actual eight-track player and shag carpets and headlining. The dash looks all wooden and retro too, though controls for the modern heating and whatnot are retained.
There are also two skateboard carrying racks: one in the back and one in humped roof. If you’re wondering why so many of them, well, this is the Riley Hawk (son of Tony Hawk) Skate Tour xB after all, and it’s set to be shown off at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
