Citroen has a great thing going on with the new C4 Cactus crossover and we would be far more surprised if it didn’t bank on its success with more versions than if it did.
The French carmaker has already turned out two concept models of the C4 Cactus, one for a more rugged off-road iteration dubbed Adventure at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show in March and the other, a highly efficient version called Airflow 2L in Paris.
Now, independent Photoshopers are chipping in with their own thoughts on how to expand the range of the compact crossover. Khalil Bouguerra rendered a hotter C4 Cactus with the Sport moniker.
It features a lowered body, bigger wheels, aerodynamic add-ons, blacked-out trim and carbon-fiber décor for the bumpers and the airbumps.
Such a model wouldn’t need to go up against a +280hp Honda Civic Type R or even a +210hp VW Golf GTI – that’s what PSA’s upcoming 266hp Peugeot 308 R is for, but it would need to have more than the 110hp of the most potent model in its range. Something between 130 and 180hp would work fine.
