Lexus has just informed us about the world premiere of a new “open-air concept” named the LF-C2 at next week’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
There’s an artsy dark photo of the LF-C2, but that’s about it, with Lexus leaving it to us to decipher the model.
Given its name, the outline of the body with the protruding rear bumper and more importantly, the double humps on the boot for the rear-passenger headrests, we’re pretty confident that this is the convertible version of the LF-CC Coupe Concept or in other words, a pre-production study for the upcoming RC Convertible.
What the picture doesn’t tell us is whether Lexus has designed it with a fabric roof like Audi’s rivaling A5 Convertible or if it has chosen a retractable metal top solution, as it had done with its predecessor, the IS Convertible.
