Testing on the upcoming 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander facelift is underway ahead of a debut in 2015 that will include the North American release of the troubled PHEV model.
The update will introduce Mitsubishi’s new corporate grille and fascia styling for a more cohesive look among the brand’s automobiles, together with changes to the rear end such as the revamped tail lamps and bumper.
From the interior shots, the only visible change seems to be the new infotainment system on the center console, but by the time the crossover goes on sale, we could see further improvements made to the cabin.
Following the launch of the regular Outlander models, Mitsubishi will finally give the U.S. the delayed Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) model, which may gain a more distinct version modeled after the Concept S from the Paris motor show.
