You can now add the 2015 Corvette Stingray Z06 Convertible to our famed list of “Well, that didn’t take long” accidents.
In fact, it came much earlier than expected since the new Corvette Z06 coupe won’t go on sale before the beginning of next year, while the convertible version of Chevy’s 650-horsepower sports car will take even longer, arriving in the second quarter of 2015.
The Corvette Z06 Convertible that crashed in Jackson, Michigan, had Manufacturers Plates on it, so it could be a dealer or a GM employee car.
An eyewitness told CorvetteBlogger that the driver lost control of the vehicle and took out another car (a Ford Taurus Wagon, if we’re not mistaken) before smashing into the cables on the I-94 highway in Michigan.
“The vette spun out and took another vehicle with it through a cable wire median, shredding the vehicle to the point where the cable almost came through the drivers seat, and as youll [sic] see from my pictures, ended up facing backwards on the opposite side of the barrier that it originally spun out from,” said the eyewitness.
