A month ago, Subaru unveiled its revamped 2015MY XV Crosstrek, detailing its changes. Today it released the compact crossover’s pricing in the US market, which begins at US$21,595 and US$25,995 (excluding destination and delivery) for the gasoline and hybrid models respectively.
The base trim level comes fitted with a 6.2-inch touch screen, a rear vision camera, Subaru’s STARLINK infotainment system, 17-inch wheels, black side- and wheel-arch cladding, a rocker spoiler and roof rails as standard.
The Premium trim level adds a reach-and-rake adjustable steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth controls, power windows, mirrors and central locking, a multifunction display and the All-Weather Package that comprises of heated front seats and side mirrors and a windshield wiper de-icer. Its MSRP is US$295 for the five-speed manual gearbox version, with the Lineatronic CVT gearbox adding another grand at US$23,295.
Priced at US$24,795, the range-topping Limited version is available solely with the CVT transmission. Compared to the Premium trim, it features leather upholstery, automatic climate control.
All variants of the XV Crosstrek feature Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard and are powered by a 148HP 2.0-liter boxer engine combined with a five-speed manual or a constantly variable transmission (CVT), depending on the model.
In the hybrid version, the internal combustion engine is paired to a 13.4HP electric motor, for a total combined output of 160HP. The XV Crosstrek Hybrid is priced at US$25,995 for the base version and US29,295 for the Touring.
