Along with the mild facelift applied to the C4, Citroën has also operated some changes on the C4-related DS 4 premium compact hatchback.

To mark the start of its third full year on the market, the DS 4 is now available in a two-tone version with a choice of three roof colors, two new engines and a range of connected services.

Both new engines, the PureTech 130 S&S 3-cylinder petrol unit and the BlueHDi 120 four-cylinder diesel, are Euro 6-compliant and deliver greater power and fuel efficiency than their predecessors. Compared to the VTi 120 engine it replaces, the new PureTech 130 S&S turbocharged 3-cylinder unit has 44 percent more torque and emits 19 percent less CO2.

Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the PureTech 130 S&S 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine produces 130PS (129hp) at 5,500 rpm and 230Nm (170lb-ft) of torque from 1,750 rpm. Combined fuel economy is 5 l/100 km (47 mpg US), with CO2 emissions of 116g/km.

As for the new BlueHDi 120 diesel unit, torque is increased by 11 percent while CO2 emissions are cut by 12 percent compared with the Euro 5 engine it replaces, the e-HDi 115.

Linked to a six-speed manual gearbox, the 1.6-liter four-cylinder diesel produces 120PS (118hp) at 3,500 rpm and 300Nm (221lb-ft) of torque at 1,750 rpm. Average fuel economy is 3.7 l/100 km (63.5 mpg US) while CO2 emissions are 97 g/km.

The DS 4 now also offers personalized color choices for the roof and spoiler, with three colors available to customers: black, whisper and virtual blue. Also new for 2015 are two new services for the DS Connect BOX: the Mapping Pack that allows the driver to track the use and position of the car, and the Tracking Pack, which provides 24/7 assistance in the event of theft, indicating the location of the car.
