The Volvo XC60 is good looking enough to be bought for stylistic reasons only, however, it also offers tons of practical features, a good though not overly-sporty ride and a distinct built-to-last feel.
CNET says it’s actually quite similar in feel to the V60 wagon they tested not long ago. It shares that car’s T6 power plant and it’s still spiritedly even given its extra weight and lower aerodynamic efficiency – reviewer Brian Cooley pointed out that there was some wind whistle at high speeds too, though he argued that could have been caused by the add-on roof rails.
The interior is typically Volvo fare, with the usual simple layout and design we’ve come to expect. We’re still not huge fans of how the buttons are arranged on the center console, but there are manufacturers out there who do it worse.
