Since Norway is a mountainous country with a cold climate, it goes without saying that 4×4 vehicles are highly popular there. But all-wheel drive vehicles aren’t enough for some people, who use specialized military vehicles to reach isolated areas.
Norway’s Bilkanalen wanted to show that even a basic 4×4 vehicle like the Dacia Duster is good enough to tackle some of the country’s most difficult roads. In order to do that, they chose a very steep snow-covered road that leads to a wooden cottage. To reach it, the owner bought a military snowcat, convinced that no conventional 4×4 could take him there.
The video you are about to see proves that he was wrong and he would have been able to do it in a Dacia Duster as well. Remarkably, although the road was covered with snow and ice, the Duster climbed it using regular snow tires, without studs.
