DriveClub was not well received by gaming reviews outlets who called it soulless and not that feature rich. Now nearly two months after the game’s launch, the developer has launched its first downloadable content pack (DLC), a free one that adds five (quite interestingly chosen) cars and some new features.
The cars added are the W Motors Lykan Hypersport, Caterham SP/300.R, KTM X-Bow R, BMW M4, Renault Twin’Run concept.
It was apparently meant to be a paid DLC, but it was decided to be offered for free as an apology for ongoing server issues and other game breaking problems encountered by early users. Most have been fixed by now, but it seems the poor first impression set the game off to a bad start…
The racing/driving game scene seems to have not taken a liking to it. Some appreciate some parts of it, but it always comes down to it not being worth the time/money, which would be better spent on Gran Turismo…
