Infiniti has confirmed UK pricing for the facelifted Q70 sedan that made its European debut at the Paris Motor Show last October.
Together with some minor exterior revisions that include reworked bumpers, a new front grille, full LED front and rear lighting, a re-tuned suspension, improved noise insulation inside and extra equipment, the 2015 Q70 replaces its previous 3.0-liter V6 diesel with a new 2.2-liter turbo diesel unit sourced from Mercedes-Benz.
The new four-cylinder diesel developed as part of Infiniti’s strategic cooperation with Daimler produces 168hp (170PS) and 295 lb-ft (400Nm) of peak torque, emitting 129g/km of CO2. It’s paired up to a standard seven-speed automatic, which on some models, is available with paddle-shifters. Pricing starts from £32,650 for the Q70 Premium 2.2d.
Besides the new diesel, for 2015, the Q70 is also available with a 3.7-liter V6 petrol delivering 316hp (320PS) and an improved version of Infiniti’s hybrid powertrain that combines a 3.5-liter V6 petrol with an electric motor rated at 359hp (364PS), which accelerates the saloon from zero to 62mph (100km/h) in 5.3 seconds and returns CO2 emissions of 145g/km.
