People are obsessed nowadays with capturing everything they do on camera. Whether it’s Google Glass, a GoPro camera or a mobile phone, we want to document each experience we have.

I’m not the one to judge whether that is good or bad, but for God’s sake, when you attach a GoPro camera to your car, motorcycle or helmet, check ten times to see if it’s securely fitted. Otherwise, you may be responsible for someone else’s life.

Rider Barry Reynolds was hit by a GoPro at over 160 mph (257 km/h) during a motorcycle track day at Texas World Speedway. The camera fell off a bike ahead of him, smashed through the windscreen and destroyed the gauge cluster on its way to hitting the rider in the chest.

Imagine what would have happened if the camera had hit the rider in the helmet or shoulder…
