The 577hp Mercedes S 63 AMG is not a car that needs more power, but if Brabus upgraded it to 838hp, Mansory felt obliged to up the ante and squeeze even more power from the 5.9-liter biturbo V8 engine.
The German tuner has released two performance upgrades for the S63 AMG that lift power to 800PS (789hp) and 1,000PS (986hp), respectively. The Mansory M800 power kit boost power to 800PS at 4,750 rpm and torque to 1,200Nm (885lb-ft) at 1,700-3,500 rpm. The increased output has an influence on performance, with the M800 S63 sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, 0.4 seconds quicker than the standard model.
The Mansory M1000 power kit is more extreme, delivering 1,000PS and 1,400Nm (1,032lb-ft) of torque at 1,500-3,500 rpm. The 0-100 km/h time drops to 3.2 seconds and top speed is limited to 300 km/h (186 mph). To get so much power from the V8 engine, Mansory’s kits feature new parts including connecting rods, big end bearings, crankshaft, bearing bushings, turbocharger, suction and compressor system, as well as newly conceived pipe fan manifolds.
The performance is reflected in the car’s looks, with the S63 AMG getting a sinister aero kit including an all-black exterior with redesigned front bumper integrating new LED DRLs, new rear bumper with air diffuser, new bonnet, new side skirts as well as carbon fiber components like the rear spoiler, mirror caps, front lip spoiler and rear apron.
The wider front wings also contribute to the meaner look, as do the one-piece 22-inch Multispoke alloy wheels shod with Vredestein tyres in size 255/30/ZR22 on the front axle and 295/25/ZR22 on the rear axle. Inside, the Mansory S63 gets a newly designed steering wheel, aluminum pedals, leather foot mats, illuminated door sill trims and more.
