The world’s sportiest autonomous car, as Audi likes to call the RS 7 Piloted Driving Concept, was recently reviewed by Auto Express’ Mat Watson.
I know that “reviewed” may not be the most appropriate word for a car that drives itself, but Watson wanted to see if he can lap the Ascari track faster than the RS 7 Piloted Driving Concept.
First he drove a standard Audi RS 7 Sportback and set a lap time, and then he hopped in the autonomous one to witness the self-driving car’s lap from the passenger seat. He wasn’t alone in the car though, as for safety reasons Audi placed one of its employees in the driver’s seat to take control of the car if something went wrong.
But Bobby, as the people from Audi call the autonomous RS 7, made no mistakes and really impressed Watson. Was that enough to beat him? You can find out by watching the video posted below.
