Mazda is the latest automaker to add a virtual-only model to the car roster of Gran Turismo 6. Their entry is called LM55, and as its name suggests it’s styled to look like Le Mans prototype type of vehicles.
Its styling language is still Mazda’s familiar Kodo, but this particular model features several nods to the old 787B race car of the early 1990s. One is the LM in the name which obviously stands for Le Mans, as well as the car’s stance which the automaker says mirrors that of the 787B.
Design-wise, it’s a striking car to behold, and probably one of the most beautiful-looking racing cars we’ve seen for a while. This is Kodo taken to the extreme and flattened as much as possible – we really like it a lot!
