We hope Mercedes surprises us when it reveals the coupe version of its current C-Class and doesn’t show an S-Class Coupe shrunken to 75 percent of its original size…

Either way, it’s coming, and it’s set to arrive exactly one year from now, in December of 2015.

Apparently, according to Auto Motor und Sport, the new car will have sharper lines and will generally be flatter-looking and closer to the ground. It will be wider, longer but lower than the current model, and these elements should make for a rakish look – again, as long as they keep it original and don’t copy the S-Class two-door (although it most likely will…).

The same report also had information about the upcoming C-Class-based GLC (the replacement for the GLK). It’s reportedly going to ditch the angular G-wagen inspired styling for something softer and more rounded – they give the Audi Q5 as an example of what to expect.

Note: Photos posted here are of the camouflaged convertible prototype, but they still give us an idea of what it will be like
