When Renault unveiled the EOLAB study at the Paris Auto Show, the official line was that it previewed a supermini for the year 2024. While that may be true in terms of its hybrid powertrain and aerodynamics, the study’s design may be applied to a production model much sooner.

Photoshop artist Theophilus Chin believes the next-generation Renault Mégane, which could debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show and go on sale in 2016, will use some design cues from the EOLAB study.

He used a photo of the latter as a basis and combined it with design cues from current models, resulting in a Mégane rendering that looks quite interesting. Obviously, it is toned down considerably compared to the study, and I hope the real thing will look more aggressive than that. What do you think?
