While it may not be more than a movie prop for Daniel Craig’ stunt double to crash, the Aston Martin DB10 is a looker.
It continues the tradition of beautiful coupes and we’d not mind if it really previewed the DB9’s replacement – the rendering posted here shows what it would look like in Volante trim, with a retractable soft top.
With its color changed to blue and more headroom than you would ever need, the same positive impression lingers; it still looks really good, with its long sharp nose and equally sharp but short rear deck. The absence of the roof neither adds nor detracts from its visual appeal, but we’d still have one either way.
Just picture how good this would be with an AMG-sourced engine and a snappy, modern gearbox of the sort Astons are currently missing… Losing some weight would also be desirable, as the current DB9 drop-top tips the scales at a lardy 1,850 kg or 4,080 lbs.
