This latest incarnation of the VW Polo BlueMotion formula comes with a twist on the usual. It’s now available for the first time with a petrol engine, a 1.0-liter TSI turbo, and it’s just been priced for the UK market, where it starts at £14,730 (in three-door form).
There’s still a diesel on offer, a 1.4-liter TDI unit, but that bumps the starting price up to £15,795 (also in three-door guise). If you want the best efficiency, you can’t beat the diesel as it returns a claimed 91.1 mpg UK and emits just 82 g/km CO2.
The petrol is still decent, though, averaging a claimed 68.9 mpg UK and emitting 94 g/km CO2.
All Polo BlueMotion models come with a touchscreen infotainment system, a unique styling pack with aero body kit, 15-inch alloys, multifunction leather steering wheel and cruise control among others.
