The second-generation Audi Q7 will debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January, more than nine years after the launch of the original model. Obviously, Audi fans expect a lot from the new SUV, but how different will it be?
Taking into account that Audi’s generation changes haven’t been quite revolutionary in recent years, it’s safe to say the new model won’t be a radical departure from the first generation Q7. Furthermore, recent reports say the new Q7 will be one of the last models to use Audi’s existing styling language, since the brand’s new styling boss Marc Lichte arrived too late to make a difference.
Photoshop ace X-Tomi sees the second-generation Audi Q7 in a conservative manner, with the most obvious change being the pair of headlights which get similar LED bars as the Audi TT. The design of the grille is sportier and the front end as a whole looks less massive than on the current Audi Q7.
There’s not much else changed though, with the profile of the car being identical to the first generation model, which is probably due to X-Tomi using a photo of the current Q7 as starting point. What do you think, could the Q7 look like this or more like our artist Josh Byrnes’ rendering?
