SsangYong UK has released the first official photos of the upcoming Tivoli B-segment crossover, which will launch in South Korea in January 2015 and in the UK and the rest of the world from mid-2015.
There are no surprises in terms of design, as the production model stays very close to the renderings released a month ago. Previewed by the XIV Air and Adventure concepts at the Paris Auto Show, the SsangYong Tivoli has been under development for the past three years under the project name X100.
Sourcing its name from the Italian town near Rome with a reputation for style, the new crossover will compete with models like the Nissan Juke, Jeep Renegade, Honda HR-V, Renault Captur and others. The Korean carmaker says the Tivoli’s interior offers plenty of storage space and offers driver and passengers easy connectivity to their IT devices.
The SsangYong Tivoli will be offered with 1.6-liter 4-cylinder gasoline and diesel Euro6-compliant engines. Detailed specifications will be announced closer to launch.
