What is it with people trying to replicate Chris Bangle-era BMWs?
We’ve seen anything from a BMW 540i E39 with 7-Series E65 fascias and an E36 3-Series Convertible with the respective ends of an E60 5-Series and E90 3-Series, to what’s probably one of the most absurd creations we’ve ever stumbled upon, a 1993 Subaru Impreza WRX with E60 buttocks and an Audi face.
And now this; an E60 BMW 5-Series that isn’t really an E60, but at least it is a 5-Series and in particular, a 1999 525d E39, which is commonly acknowledged as one of the best looking modern-day BMW sedans.
It comes complete with Dame Edna headlamps and a shoddy attempt at recreating the E60’s Bungle butt.
It can be found for sale on Mobile Bulgaria for 6,500 Lev, which comes to about $4,120 or €3,320.
