Suzuki has just revealed the noticeably Japanese-looking new Alto. There’s a good reason for that: it’s going to be sold exclusively in Japan and it fits in the familiar category of pint-sized kei cars. Would a hot version of this new Alto make sense, well, X-Tomi certainly thinks it would.
He’s created a sporty interpretation of the standard vehicle, in his usual style. There are bigger wheels, a lower stance and some light sticker action going on down the lower sides of the vehicle. The front bumper gets a blacked out center section and a lower apron, and these immediately transform the look of the front – this is the kind of car that would go nicely with some lightly smoked headlights too.
As far as what would power such a thing, well, they could eek extra power out of the 660 cc turbo unit the standard car comes with, but a bigger engine would be nice too. Keep in mind that this car would not exceed 700 kg (1,540 lbs), so it wouldn’t really need all that much more power, just tighter suspension, brakes and steering for the most part.
