GMC has announced pricing for the 2015 Sierra Elevation Edition in the US, with the cheapest model starting at $34,865 – the 2WD model equipped with the standard V6 engine.
4WD models with the same engine are priced from $38,795, while models equipped with the available 5.3-liter V8 start at $35,960 for 2WD and $39,890 for 4WD.
Going on sale this month across the United States, the Sierra Elevation Edition is based on the Sierra 1500 double cab with 1SA trim and combines a monochromatic look with a series of connectivity technologies.
Offered in four exterior colors (Onyx Black, Quicksilver Metallic, Sonoma Red Metallic and Summit White), the model’s exterior upgrades include body-color exterior appointments, 20-inch black-painted wheels, fog lamps and projector-beam headlamps with light-emitting diode (LED) signature lighting.
Standard connectivity features include OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, offered with a three-month/3GB trial (whichever comes first), GMC IntelliLink with color display and Bluetooth wireless technology for select phones.
Additional standard equipment includes CornerStep rear bumper, G80 locking rear differential, 110V power outlet, remote keyless entry, heated, power-adjustable outside mirrors, LED cargo box lighting, color-keyed carpeting and deep-tinted glass. Available features include a rear vision camera, trailering package and all-terrain tires.
The standard 4.3-liter V6 produces 285hp and 305lb-ft (413Nm) of torque, while the available 5.3-liter V8 is rated at 355hp and 383lb-ft (519Nm) of torque. The latter unit delivers the best V8 fuel economy in the segment – 23 mpg (10.2 l/100 km) highway (2WD). It also enables a 9,500-pound (4,309-kg) trailering capacity with the available 3.42 axle (2WD).
