The all-new 2015 Kia Sorento is the perfect perfectly adequate mid-size crossover. It looks pretty good, it drives decently, it’s fairly economical and reasonably spacious too. Pricing for it is not ridiculous, even if you pump for plenty of options, and you get plenty of posh, big car features too.
The Which? review posted below highlights its above average goodness, saying it’s a lot of metal for the money, which it is. Moreover, Kia doesn’t reach into your pocket to swipe your cash while you’re not looking and ticking options boxes – you don’t even need to add any extras because even base cars come decently equipped.
The Sorento is not the kind of car you’re going to buy with your heart, but it looks German enough to be worth its asking price, plus it’s a much more honest product than what the posher automakers are selling these days.
And actually, if you ask somebody who isn’t into cars (or their badges), they may not be able to tell which is more expensive between a Sorento and a comparable Audi, for instance – they’ve nailed the image thing perfectly.
