Now the “corsa” in the Maserati MC12 Corsa’s name stands for “race,” which is what it was designed for. Based on the road-going MC12, which in turn was based on the Ferrari Enzo, it’s basically Maserati’s equivalent of the Enzo FXX.
The engine is the same V12, but its power is uppped by 120 hp over what a regular road-going MC12 can muster. The output has been raised to 745 hp and it’s also noisier and throatier too.
The car was recently driven on the road in (what appears to be) California, fully legal, registered and with a number plate. It’s really quite a sight to see one of these on the road, so we’re glad Brian Zuk was there to catch it all on video.
