The Ariel Nomad sure looks like fun, doesn’t it? With as much power as the naturally-aspirated Atom but as much torque as the supercharged one, plus beefed up suspension, it’s perfect for sliding around hairpins on gravel roads.
However, with different tires and minimal changes, it can be set up to attack sand dunes, snow and, why not, bumpy tarmac. It is, of course, road legal, with mirrors indicators and lights. Sadly, the interior will do little in the way of keeping you dry, although we’re told it does have some sort of zip-up “doors” available.
EVO did a static preview of the Nomad while it was on display at the Autosport International 2015 show. Henry Catchpole goes through all of its important technical details but also talks about the kind of driving/racing it’s aimed at. Check out the video below!
