Sahara Force India is slated to reveal their latest and hopefully greatest contender for the 2015 Formula 1 season next month. For the time being, Sahara Force India unveiled what will be its new 2015 racing livery during a special ceremony held Wednesday morning in Mexico City.

“It’s another evolution of the contemporary look we introduced last year, which reflects the growth of the team and the global brands with which we are working” said team manager Vijay Mallya.

“I love the addition of silver, which makes the car appear more sleek and aggressive and I’m sure it’s something that will appeal to the fans as well. Our traditional team colours remain integrated in the livery, but we’ve given it a very modern twist.”

The updated livery features new sponsorship decals from NEC, which moved over from Sauber. Existing sponsorship deals include Telcel, Claro, Smirnoff, Kingfisher, and Royal Challenge.

Obviously, 2015 is an important development year for the teams as the FIA has permitted in-season engine upgrades following the homologation freeze last year. According to the team, an upgraded version of the 2014 Force India VJM07 chassis will be fielded during the Jerez testing session on February 1. The official 2015 Force India VJM08 will not debut until the second F1 test in Barcelona.

Last year, Sahara Force India finished sixth in the 2014 F1 World Championship after losing to a tight battle for fifth with the McLaren team. This year, drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez will once again represent the team in the championship fight.
