The Holden Cruze has received a new front end, new materials for the interior as well as new technologies for its first facelift in Australia.
The visual upgrades are very similar to those introduced on the US-spec Chevy Cruze last year and consist of a new grille and fascia, combined with newly introduced LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). Other styling additions are the new 17-inch alloy wheels and exterior mirrors with integrated turn signal lamps.
The performance-oriented Cruze SRi adds fog lamps, while the sportier SRi-V gains new 18-inch alloy wheels, rain sensing wipers and suede seat inserts. SRi-V models also get remote start functionality as available in VF Commodore. The system allows customers to start the car remotely and use the air conditioning to cool, or heat the car before getting in. Finally, the luxury-focused Cruze CDX sedan gets satellite navigation with voice command and live traffic updates.
“The new front fascia and grille give the car an athletic, modern look and the added features make Cruze a compelling package in the small car class,” said Holden’s Director of Marketing, Bill Mott.
“With remote start, satellite navigation, reverse cameras and the award winning, MyLink infotainment system, Holden is able to offer technology not previously available in small cars. It is all part of our commitment to provide feature packed vehicles and exceptional customer value,” the executive added.
The updated 2015 Holden Cruze goes on sale on January 20 in Australia.
